Using the Power of Running to Make a Difference for Girls
Team Tiara is the charity running “leg” of Girls on the Run International (GOTRI) and uses the power of running to make a difference for our girls. Teams of athletes pursue individual goals, such as running a marathon, half marathon or completing a triathlon, to raise money for our local Wood River Valley council with the support of GOTRI.
Team Tiara members agree to pay a non-refundable $26.00 registration fee. Participation in Team Tiara means that the runner/walker/triathlete agrees to raise a minimum of $262 for the GOTR council of their choice on or before thirty (30) days after completing the race, or be personally responsible for this amount.
The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon is GOTRI’s only official Team Tiara event. You can still choose to run in any race of your choice on behalf of Team Tiara.
In 2008 local Team Tiara members Bronwyn Patterson, Anne Jefferies and Mary Fauth ran in The other Half (Moab), and City of Trees Marathon (Boise) raising over $800 for Girls on the Run of the Wood River Valley.
