Solemate Daryl Fauth recently raised $4000 for Girls on the Run of the Wood River Valley when competing in his first Ironman. In Daryl's words on why he became a Solemate:
"Training for an Ironman is extremely time-consuming. It can be a selfish, narcissistic sport at times and is a sacrifice that not only the athlete takes on, but his or her entire family as well...
Do I feel selfish? I sure do.
Am I grateful? I sure am.
How can I show my appreciation?
By doing something that means more than just completing an Ironman. By doing something for others."
Incentive prices for reaching certain fundraising levels include:
$250 -- Girls on the Run visor!
$500 -- "Run Like a Girl.... Try to Keep up" t-shirt & visor
$1000 -- GOTR white down jacket, "Run Like a Girl" shirt and visor
