Using the Power of Running to Make a Difference for Girls
Want
to
use the power of running to make a difference in the life of a girl?
Join Girls on the Run SoleMates, our charity running program. We are a
team of male and female athletes who pursue individual goals, such as
running a marathon, completing a triathlon or cycling event, or even
doing our first 5k or 10k, to raise money for Girls on the Run of the
Wood
River Valley.
Individuals
can sign up to run/walk/bike in any event of their choice and
participate in Girls on the Run SoleMates. Registration for SoleMates
does not include registration to the actual race. The runner/walker
must still register for the event of their choice independently. These
are two separate registrations.
Join us for a group runs throughout the summer. Run lengths will vary and all abilities are welcome. Email
mary@girlsontherunwrv.org to get notifications about this and other running/biking opportunities.
If you are ready to become a team member Be sure to select the "Wood River Valley" council as the council you are fundraising for.
Welcome SoleMate team member Daryl Fauth who will be
competing in the 70.3 Boise Half Ironman on June 13. Check out the
SoleMates team roster to donate or to find out who is participating and giving.
Also stay up to date with SoleMates team happenings by joining the
SoleMates group page on Facebook. Post messages to other group members
about group runs or rides, and discuss your upcoming race goals. Check it out.
