DEAR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS

Hello GOTR and H&S families,

Well it's the final stretch and we've still got a few things to accomplish! The groups all had fabulous practice 5k's last week - they are ready to complete the final race on Saturday Nov. 18th. You should've received a flyer home wth the details, but they are also listed below.

The Girls on the Run groups will be completing their community service projects next week. By the end of this week, your daughter might have volunteered to from home or make something in preparation of their project to be completed during their session next Monday/Tuesday. Please check with her about any important details and thanks for helping.

It's been amazing season! If you have any special moments your daughter experienced this season or anything as a parent you would like to share about the impact the program had, please email me as soon as possible. I'm looking for a few great testimonies from our families for our "Gratitude Report."

In girl spirit,

Mary

Every Girl Can Run fundraiser

15-Year-Anniversary-Give15.png

Just a reminder that if your daughter was planning on participating in the optional fundraiser that helps ensure that all girls can participate in Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole, the deadline to turn in the funds they raised is the last session of the season (Wednesday or Thursday of next week). We will have their prizes at the 5k!

Don't know where the fundraising packet is? No worries, you can create an online fundraising page and spread the word that way. Go to Create Your Fundraiser, use your Raceplanner account to log in or create a new one, set a goal, and tell a story about why Girls on the Run is important to support. Then share the link to your fundraiser with friends and family. If you have any problems utilizing this, let me know!

Season Ending 5k Reminder

Don't forget we will again run our final 5k on the trails at Swiftsure Ranch south of Bellevue at 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 18th. Girls should arrive around 11:30 for activities.

This is a 5k event just for the girls and the important people in their life. Girls will need a running buddy, so please either plan to join her or help her to invite a high school aged or older person to run/walk with her. The route will be two laps of 1.5 miles each on a wood chip trail. No dogs are allow due to the horses on property. We will have some light snacks following the race.
